Antique die-cut hold-to-light postcard's top layer has been cut away to reveal a thin colored layer through which light can shine. Thin color paper shows through when held to a light. Santa HTL postcards (especially dressed in non-traditional colored suits) are rare and quite costly. Of course condition is always important.
